Privacy Policy
Lindsey the Fixer LLC ("The Fixer," "I," "me," or "my")
Effective date: August 3, 2026 | Last updated: August 2026
1. About this policy
This policy explains what information I collect through lindseythefixer.com (the "Site"), how I use it, who I share it with, and what choices you have. It applies to the Site and to inquiries, consultations, and communications that come through it.
If you become a client, the handling of your project information is also governed by the client agreement we sign. Where that agreement is more protective of your information than this policy, the agreement controls.
I am a single-member limited liability company based in Ohio. When you contact me, you are contacting a person, not a call center.
2. Information I collect
Information you give me directly
Contact and inquiry information — your name, email address, phone number, and anything you choose to tell me in a form, email, text, or DM.
Scheduling information — when you book a consultation, the scheduling tool collects your name, email, phone number, appointment time, and any notes you add.
Project information — details about your home, property, business, household, schedule, vendors, budget, and the work you want done. This is the information you share so I can actually do the job, and it is often the most detailed information I hold.
Payment information — invoices are processed through a third-party payment processor. I receive confirmation that a payment was made and the associated invoice details. I do not receive or store your full card or bank account numbers.
Anything else you send — photos, floor plans, documents, vendor quotes, and similar materials.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically, including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
Information from third parties
I may receive information about you from my website host, scheduling platform, advertising platforms, or social media platforms — for example, aggregate statistics about how an ad performed, or a message you send through Instagram.
3. How I use your information
I use the information described above to:
respond to your inquiry and communicate with you;
schedule, prepare for, and conduct consultations;
provide, manage, and complete the services you engage me for;
coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers on your behalf (see Section 4);
prepare quotes, scopes, invoices, and agreements, and to process payments;
keep records of the work performed;
send you information about my services, if you have asked to receive it;
operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
measure and improve my advertising;
comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce my agreements.
I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
4. When I share your information
I share information in the following circumstances, and generally no others:
Vendors and contractors working on your project. This is important to understand, because it is central to how the service works. To do my job, I share what is necessary with the contractors, tradespeople, designers, suppliers, venues, travel providers, and other third parties involved in your project — which can include your name, address, phone number, access instructions, project scope, and scheduling details. I share what a vendor needs to do the work and no more. These vendors are independent businesses with their own privacy practices, and I do not control how they handle your information.
Service providers who support my business. Website hosting, scheduling, email, cloud storage and document tools, payment processing, invoicing and bookkeeping, and similar operational providers. They receive access only as needed to perform their function.
Professional advisors. My accountant, attorney, or insurer, where relevant.
Legal and safety reasons. Where required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where I believe disclosure is necessary to protect legal rights, enforce an agreement, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of any person.
Business transfer. If the business is sold, merged, or reorganized, client and business records may transfer as part of that transaction.
With your direction. Any other sharing you ask for or approve.
5. Marketing, testimonials, and photographs
I may photograph completed work. I will not publish photographs, project details, your name, or your neighborhood in marketing materials without your permission. Where you have given permission, you may withdraw it at any time by emailing me, and I will stop using the material going forward — though I may not be able to recall materials already printed or distributed.
If you have signed up for emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message, or by emailing me directly. If you have agreed to receive text messages, you can stop them by replying STOP. Transactional messages about active projects are not marketing and will continue while we are working together.
6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly, remember preferences, understand how the Site is used, and measure advertising performance.
I use, or may use:
Website platform cookies that are necessary for the Site to work.
Analytics tools that tell me how visitors find and use the Site, generally in aggregate.
Advertising tools, including the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel, which allow me to measure ad performance and show ads to people who have visited the Site or who resemble my existing audience. Depending on where you live, this activity may be considered "targeted advertising" or "sharing" of personal information under state law. See Section 9 for your options.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can limit ad targeting through the settings offered by Meta and Google and through industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out page. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the Site work.
Do Not Track. The Site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.
7. How long I keep information
I keep information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and after that for as long as I reasonably need it for records, tax, accounting, insurance, and legal purposes.
As a general matter:
Inquiries that don't become projects — kept for a limited period, then deleted.
Client project records — kept for the duration of the engagement and for a period afterward consistent with legal and tax requirements.
Financial records — kept as required by law, typically seven years.
You can ask me to delete information sooner, and I will do so where I am not required to keep it.
8. Security
I take reasonable measures to protect the information I hold, including access-controlled accounts, reputable service providers, and limiting what I share with vendors to what a job requires. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use care in what you send by email or text.
9. Your choices and rights
Regardless of where you live, you may:
ask what personal information I hold about you;
ask me to correct information that is wrong;
ask me to delete information I am not required to keep;
unsubscribe from marketing emails or texts;
ask me not to share your information with a particular vendor (understanding this may limit what I can do for you).
Depending on your state or country of residence, you may have additional rights — including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, or certain profiling. I do not sell personal information. If you would like to opt out of targeted advertising, email me and I will honor the request.
To exercise any of these rights, email lindseythefixer@gmail.com. I may need to verify your identity before acting. I will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
10. Children
The Site is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided me with personal information, please contact me and I will delete it.
Household projects sometimes involve information about a client's children — schedules, activities, school details. I treat that information as confidential, share it only where necessary to perform the work, and never use it for marketing.
11. Third-party sites
The Site may link to other websites, including vendors, scheduling tools, and social media. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Their policies govern once you leave the Site.
12. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will change when I do. If the changes are significant, I will make a reasonable effort to notify active clients directly.
